Welcome! I’m Emmi Clarke, and I live on the Isle of Wight, where I spend too much time wondering about secret lives that might be hiding just out of sight.
I write cosy mystery fiction set in a contemporary alternate version of the island—where murder, mischief, and the occasional whisper of dragonkind all sit rather too comfortably together.
My current project is The Seemly Mysteries, an eight-book series following eighteen-year-old detective John Trilby and his formidable grandmother, Lady Rose Seemly. Together they investigate impossible crimes while uncovering extraordinary family secrets.
I hope my stories give readers the pleasure of solving a mystery, spending time with characters they enjoy, and escaping for a while to slightly more magical version of the Isle of Wight.
