Welcome to my corner of the Isle of Wight, where ancient houses keep old secrets, murder has an unfortunate habit of interrupting village life, and whispers of dragonkind are never quite as imaginary as they might seem.

I’m currently writing The Seemly Mysteries, a cosy mystery series following eighteen-year-old detective John Trilby and his formidable grandmother, Lady Rose Seemly, as they unravel impossible crimes with just a hint of the extraordinary.

Emmi Clarke lives on the Isle of Wight, where she spends too much time wondering about secret lives that might be hiding just out of sight. She writes cosy mysteries set in a contemporary alternate version of the island—where murder, mischief, and the occasional whisper of dragonkind all sit rather too comfortably together.

Murder has a habit of finding John Trilby. Fortunately, so does his grandmother, Lady Rose Seemly. Together they investigate impossible crimes in a contemporary alternate Isle of Wight, where cosy mystery meets a whisper of fantasy.
